PRAYER

In God's Holy Word, we are commanded to 'pray without ceasing'. In our world today, it is a difficult command to master, and even I struggle in this area.

But think of the benefits of praying as often as possible, will you? A closer walk with the Father, a more God-centered life, peace, more love for others, less impatience, and the list goes on. Spending time with God through prayer is a powerful tool against temptations as well. When you spend quality time with God, not just talking to Him, but also listening for His voice, you grow spiritually - no doubt about that.

God desires us to talk with Him, yet in today's society, we have social media, games, phones, internet, etc, all trying to 'steal' (in a sense) our time and get our mind off of the eternal, off of God.

Without spending time with Him, praying & in His Word, how can we grow? You're right, we cannot.

In this world we have so much against us, so much. Praying & studying God's Word are two essential tools we must use to combat the world and it's temptations.

This list below is an ongoing list of things you can pray specifically about. Praying for others is especially needful in our time, so many people need our prayers. As is praying for our weaknesses to be strengthened so that God's ultimate will can be accomplished in our short lives.

*The things to pray about are not listed in order of importance & I have not listed half of everything you can pray about - these are just suggestions =)*

Pray for:

~ Many to come to know Christ as Savior

~ The Peace of Jerusalem
~ Many Jews to be saved
~ God's will to be done in your life

~ Missionaries (especially ones you know by name)

~ Your Mom & Dad

~ Your siblings

~ Your extended family & friends

~ Lost people you meet

~ Opportunities to witness

~ Courage to stand alone

~ The peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)

~ Others to see that there is absolute truth - that truth is not relative

~ That others will see your life and know you have something special (a walk with the Lord)

~ Patience (we all need it)

~ Perseverance (amen)

~ Love (love covers a multitude of sin)

~ Self-Control (in this day and age, we need it more than ever)

~ Selflessness (selfishness [and pride] is the root cause of many sins)

~ Humility (pride is a sin God hates)

~ All 9 fruit of the Spirit

Pray that:

~ Your spiritual life would grow stronger

~ You would learn to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength & love your neighbor as yourself.

~ You will overcome

~ God will always be the Leader your life

~ God would raise up a generation that lives with complete abandon for Him

~ God will use you to reach others

~ His kingdom will come

~ Yeshua (Jesus) will be glorified in everything you think, say, and do
~ The Jews would proclaim Barukh Haba B'Shem Yaweh - Blessed is He who Comes in the Name of the Lord

Pray with gratefulness for:

~ Your very life and breath

~ Salvation that comes only from Him!!!!!

~ Your family and friends

~ The home God has given you

~ The health He has blessed you with

~ The ability to read His Word & pray

~ His everlasting love

Pray with gratefulness that:

~ He will never leave nor forsake you

~ Yeshua (Jesus) is with us always

~ Our God is not some impersonal being, but One with whom you can have a personal relationship with

~ He is returning

Pray with Praise:

~ God is God from everlasting to everlasting

~ God is almighty, all-knowing, & all-powerful

~ God is the same yesterday, today, and forever

~ God made a way for you to be saved

~ God is GOD - there are none besides Him

MODESTY

Dictionary Definition of Modesty ~ 1 – having or showing a moderate or humble estimate of one's merits, importance, etc.; free from vanity, egotism, boastfulness, or great pretensions.

2 – free from ostentation or showy extravagance a modest house.

3 - having or showing regard for the decencies of behavior, speech, dress, etc.; decent: a modest neckline on a dress.

Modesty & Purity Advice for ALL

Everything that the Lord made valuable (in man's eyes) in this world is covered up and hard to see.

Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected.

Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.

Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock.

You've got to work hard to get to see even a glimpse of these valuable things.

YOU are far more precious than diamonds and pearls and gold and your body is valuable (sacred).

Your body should be covered too, and just as hard for this world to get even a glimpse of.

TORAH (GOD'S LAW)

Below, you will find many, many verses:

#1 - Supporting Torah-Observance

#2 - Showing that Yeshua did not abolish the Law & Prophets

#3 - Revealing that Paul (Sha'ul) did not teach against following the Laws of God

#4 - Saying that God's Laws are relevant to ALL of us today - Jews & Gentiles that have been grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel.

This is in no way a complete list of the verses in the Bible that speak on this topic of keeping God's Laws - but - I have listed many of them!

You can find ALL of God's Holy Laws in the first 5 Books of Moses.

Although in most Bible versions you will not see the word "Torah" - whenever you see God's instructions, commands, precepts, rulings, laws, regulations, or commandments - it is speaking of God's Torah, His Laws.

Keep in mind these 2 verses:

Numbers 15:16

The same Torah and standard of judgment will apply to both you and the foreigner living with you.'"

Matthew 5:17&18

"Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah -- not until everything that must happen has happened.

Exodus 24:12

ADONAI said to Moshe, "Come up to me on the mountain, and stay there. I will give you the stone tablets with the Torah and the mitzvot I have written on them, so that you can teach them."

Deuteronomy 4:8

What great nation is there that has laws and rulings as just as this entire Torah which I am setting before you today?

Deuteronomy 27:26

"'A curse on anyone who does not confirm the words of this Torah by putting them into practice.'All the people are to say, 'Amen!

Deuteronomy 28:58-62

"If you will not observe and obey all the words of this Torah that are written in this book, so that you will fear this glorious and awesome name, ADONAI your God; 59 then ADONAI will strike down you and your descendants with extraordinary plagues and severe sicknesses that go on and on.60 He will bring back upon you all the diseases the Egyptians had, which you were in dread of; and they will cling to you. 61

Not only that, but ADONAI will bring upon you all the sicknesses and plagues that are not written in this book of the Torah - until you are destroyed.62 You will be left few in number, whereas you were once as numerous as the stars in the sky -because you did not pay attention to the voice of ADONAI your God.

Deuteronomy 29:29

"Things which are hidden belong to ADONAI our God. But the things that have been revealed belong to us and our children forever, so that we can observe all the words of this Torah.

Deuteronomy 31:12

Assemble the people-the men, the women, the little ones and the foreigners you have in your towns -so that they can hear, learn, fear ADONAI your God and take care to obey all the words of this Torah;

"Always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that sums up the teaching of the Torahand the Prophets.

Matthew 13:41

The Son of Man will send forth his angels, and they will collect out of his Kingdom all the things that cause people to sin and all the people who are far from Torah;

Matthew 22:37-40

37He told him, "`You are to love ADONAI your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.' 38 This is the greatest and most important commandment (mitzvah). 39 And a second is similar to it, `You are to love your neighbor as yourself.'All of the Torah and the Prophets are dependent on these two commands (mitzvot)."

Matthew 24:5-12

5For many will come in my name, saying, `I am the Messiah!' and they will lead many astray.6 You will hear the noise of wars nearby and the news of wars far off; see to it that you don't become frightened. Such things must happen, but the end is yet to come. 7 For peoples will fight each other, nations will fight each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various parts of the world; 8 all this is but the beginning of the `birth pains.' 9 At that time you will be arrested and handed over to be punished and put to death, and all peoples will hate you because of me. 10 At that time many will be trapped into betraying and hating each other, 11 many false prophets will appear and fool many people; 12 and many people's love will grow cold because of increased distance from Torah.

Luke 2:22&23

When the time came for their purification according to the Torah of Moshe, they took him [Jesus] up to Yerushalayim to present him to ADONAI (as it is written in the Torah of ADONAI, "Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to ADONAI") and also to offer a sacrifice of a pair of doves or two young pigeons,h as required by the Torah of ADONAI.

Luke 16:17

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the Torah to become void.

Acts 24:14

[Paul is speaking here] "But this I do admit to you: I worship the God of our fathers in accordance with the Way (which they call a sect). I continue to believe everything that accords with the Torah and everything written in the Prophets.

Romans 2:13

For it is not merely the hearers of Torah whom God considers righteous; rather, it is the doers of what Torah says who will be made righteous in God's sight.

Romans 3:28

Therefore, we hold the view that a person comes to be considered righteous by God on the ground of trusting, which has nothing to do with legalistic observance of Torah commands. [We keep Torah to please God - not to be legalistic!]

Romans 3:31

Does it follow that we abolish Torah by this trusting? Heaven forbid! On the contrary, we confirm Torah.

Romans 7:7

Therefore, what are we to say? That the Torah is sinful? Heaven forbid! Rather, the function of the Torah was that without it, I would not have known what sin is. For example, I would not have become conscious of what greed is if the Torah had not said, "Thou shalt not covet."v

Romans 7:12

So the Torah is holy; that is, the commandment is holy, just and good.

Galatians 2:16

even so, we have come to realize that a person is not declared righteous by God on the ground of his legalistic observance of Torah commands, but through the Messiah Yeshua's trusting faithfulness. Therefore, we too have put our trust in Messiah Yeshua and become faithful to him, in order that we might be declared righteous on the ground of the Messiah's trusting faithfulness and not on the ground of our legalistic observance of Torah commands. For on the ground of legalistic observance of Torah commands, no one will be declared righteous.

Galatians 5:22&23

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.

Psalm 19:7

The Torah of ADONAI is perfect, restoring the inner person. The instruction of ADONAI is sure, making wise the thoughtless.

Psalm 37:31

The Torah of his God is in his heart; his footsteps do not falter.

Doing your will, my God, is my joy; your Torah is in my inmost being.

Psalm 78:5

Joshua 22:5

Observe the charge of ADONAI your God to go in his ways and keep his regulations, mitzvot, rulings and instructions in accordance with what is written in the Torah of Moshe; so that you will succeed in all you do and wherever you go.
